The former two-division champion had multiple run-ins with the police in 2017 and 2018. He even admitted to reckless driving, paid hefty fines in court, and had his driving license revoked as a result. In 2022, he was charged with driving an uninsured vehicle and driving without a license. The case has been proceeding slowly in court, and a decision has yet to be made.
April 2018: Bus Attack
Conor McGregor’s infamous incident at the Barclays Center in New York takes the prize for being the most controversial event in his career. Conor reportedly threw a trolly at a bus that had fighters inside, which left several injured. The Mac was later arrested for the crime and spent several days behind bars. This was before he took on Khabib Nurmagomeodv in the cage.
Dublin Assault allegations
Conor McGregor was reportedly accused of sexual assault by a woman who claims that Conor assaulted her in a Dublin hotel in 2019. The former Lightweight champion denies the claims, and the proceedings have been ongoing in the court of law. This was the biggest allegation that Conor had to defend to protect his reputation. The law enforcement agencies also arrested him for the same.
