It’s official: Conor McGregor will finally be returning to the octagon this summer. McGregor has been out of action for nearly three years. His last fight came back in 2021 in a trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. McGregor suffered a nasty leg injury in the fight, which caused him to stay out of action.
However, he fully recovered last year and was billed to take on Michael Chandler. But this couldn’t happen as he failed to enter the USADA testing pool on time. Following this, McGregor got busy with the promotional duties of his recently released movie, and fans wondered if he would ever come back to the UFC.
While there were rumors of a fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, the same has just been confirmed by Dana White. During the post-fight press conference of UFC 300, White said:
“June 29th, Conor vs Chandler. 5 rounds, 170lbs.”
