Conor McGregor was accused of sexually assaulting a woman after Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami earlier this month and he has not spoken out on it until now.
The UFC star was leaving a hotel in New York City, and in the midst of taking photos and signing autographs, he was asked about a message to the fans amid his allegations.
“Thank you so much for the support,” McGregor said, via TMZ.
McGregor was with his children and his fiancée, Dee Devlin, who has remained by his side during this matter as well as the other allegations from his past.
As for the recent allegations, the woman’s attorney, Ariel Mitchell, said her client provided Miami police with the clothing she was wearing that night and that a report was filed. The story goes that security separated the woman from her friends and forced her into a bathroom where McGregor was allegedly waiting. A video also surfaced later showing McGregor and the victim at a club following the game.
Mitchell told TMZ Sports that the video showed the two “visibly awkwardly interacting with each other.”

TMZ video appeared to show McGregor escorting the woman to the bathroom by the hand. There were several people standing by the door, which had been shut.
McGregor has denied the allegations through his lawyer, who called them “no more than a shakedown”. The lawyer said that McGregor was “completely innocent” and that he would “fight these false allegations to the fullest extent of the law.”
The Miami Police Department is investigating the allegation and McGregor has not been charged with any crime.
The rape allegation against McGregor has cast a shadow over his career but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to clear his name and return to the Octagon.
