“Who The Fook Is That Guy?” Remember that iconic moment when Conor McGregor utterly dismissed Jeremy Stephens? It was 2016, and the UFC press conference was buzzing with energy. McGregor, in his signature brash style, dropped the now-famous line.
Fast forward to today, and Stephens, once the butt of McGregor’s joke, is now stepping into the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship ring. ‘The Notorious’ took to social media to hype up Stephens’ BKFC debut.
“BARE KNUCKLE WARRIORS LETS GO! We are live this Friday from Salt Lake City, Utah… In our co-main event also we have “who the f**k is that guy” facing off again against Bobby Taylor. Me and “who the f**k” is an exciting bare knuckle fight down the line 100%!” wrote McGregor via Instagram.
McGregor, who once couldn’t be bothered to remember Stephens‘ name, is now co-owner of the very organization Stephens is fighting for. As a savvy businessman, he knows that his involvement can skyrocket BKFC’s value.
Furthermore, the prospect of McGregor stepping into the BKFC ring is thrilling. However, fans are awaiting his UFC comeback after a long layoff. And after his contract with the UFC is over, he can easily do BKFC fights, but that seems unlikely as well.

Stephens believes McGregor’s involvement will attract top-tier fighters to BKFC. He likened Conor McGregor’s role to that of the Fertitta brothers in the UFC.
“It’s f*cking awesome. I feel like he’s the Fertittas to the Dana White. He’s the money behind the driving force. Anything Conor touches, it’s gold. He brings a lot of eyes to the brand,” Stephens told MMA Junkie.
Conor McGregor, once dismissive of Stephens, is now indirectly his boss. But Stephens isn’t holding any grudges. It’s all business now. He even praised McGregor’s street fighting background. Remember that incident with the old man in the bar? Stephens does, and he’s using it as a positive!
