Alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, UFC Champion Conor McGregor is making his much-awaited Hollywood debut in the reimagining of the Patrick Swayze-starring 1989 classic “Road House,” where he plays a pivotal part.
In the film, Gyllenhaal portrays a middleweight fighter who was previously in the UFC and is hired to work as a bouncer at a troublesome Florida Keys nightclub. On March 21, “Road House” will be accessible exclusively on Amazon Prime. Although the movie was once intended for a theatrical release, it seems that Amazon Prime executives weren’t very excited about it because of the current SAG-AFTRA strikes, which created delays.
Conor McGregor, who claims to have filmed his stunts, collaborated with Jake Gyllenhall on a few action scenes for the film.

Conor McGregor About Filming His Stunts In Road House 2024
35 years later, a remake is now in the works. The remake of Road House, helmed by Edge of Tomorrow filmmaker Doug Liman, is slated for release in the spring of 2024. The main character, Dalton, will be portrayed by Jake Gyllenhaal, and UFC champion Conor McGregor will have a crucial but unidentified role.
The pairing of Liman and Gyllenhaal may be the winning combination for the new Road House, even though it is unlikely that the guilty pleasure excess blend of martial arts fight scenes and gratuitous nudity that made the Patrick Swayze-led original a beloved classic will be repeated in this updated version.

The final date of release for Road House is March 21, 2024. The film will be remade 35 years after the first one opened in theatres and 18 years after the disastrous Road House 2 direct-to-DVD follow-up. The film will make its international premiere in Austin, Texas in 2024 during SXSW.
McGregor revealed he did all his stunts for the movie comparing himself to Tom Cruise. Conor McGregor and Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal are starring in an MMA movie, but McGregor isn’t thrilled about showing his mother only one scene. Since his incredible rise in the UFC, McGregor has completely transcended the sport of mixed martial arts.
Before taking on Floyd Mayweather in boxing, which was one of the greatest sporting events in history, the Irishman won both the UFC featherweight and lightweight crowns.
