Conor McGregor is stirring the pot again. The Irish firebrand has been out of action since 2021 after he suffered a nasty leg break against Dustin Poirier. But that doesn’t mean he will stay quiet for long. He now has a new target: Belal Muhammad.
McGregor, in his typical fashion, didn’t just call out Muhammad. He went full Conor on him. During a Duelbits stream, he called the new champ “woeful.” Conor McGregor also wants to jump the queue and fight for the title at 170lb.
“He’s woeful. I want to fight him. Okay, Chandler’s matched, let’s schedule Belal-McGregor UFC welterweight world title on the line. I’ve multiple knockouts at 170lb, I’m a force to be reckoned with at 170lb,” said McGregor.
Belal Muhammad, for his part, isn’t taking the bait. He has been calling for a McGregor fight for years. But now that he’s got the gold, he’s not interested in waiting. So, where does this leave the fans? With McGregor calling for a title shot, he probably won’t get it. And Muhammad defending a belt against someone who’s actually been active.
In the end, it’s just another day in the wild world of MMA. McGregor keeps talking, fighters keep fighting, and fans keep wondering what’s next. One thing’s for sure: as long as Conor McGregor is around, it will never be boring.
Belal Muhammad Responds To Conor McGregor’s Challenge
‘The Notorious’ recently set his sights on Belal Muhammad. During a live stream, McGregor called Muhammad “woeful” and expressed interest in fighting him for the title. But the welterweight champ wasn’t about to let that slide.

‘Remember The Name’ fired back on social media with the precision of a sniper. His tweet highlighted Conor McGregor’s thin resume as a welterweight. The Irishman’s only wins in the division are against Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone.
“Wins over …ok I think he earned it,” commented Muhammad.
But Muhammad didn’t stop there. He posted a homemade skit mocking McGregor, captioning it “send location.” It’s a clever nod to Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor’s old rival and Muhammad’s friend. Talk about adding salt to the wound!
