It seems Conor McGregor’s long-awaited return might extend after his recent X post. Although rumors were that he would make a comeback inside the Octagon, Dana White claimed that the ‘Notorious’ may not fight, at least, later this year. However, his acknowledgment as ‘Active President’ of Ireland in the upcoming 2025 election makes this even more complicated.
In his long text post on X, McGregor highlighted what he would do if he became the Irish President. The ‘Notorious’ wrote,
“As President I hold the power to summon the Dáil as well as dissolve it. So as i said before, I would have all the answers the people of Ireland seek from these thieves of the working man, these disrupters of the family unit, these destructors of small businesses, and on and on and on!”
McGregor didn’t just stop there. He also added writing that the “charlatans in their position” will be answerable to the Irish citizens. If they fail to do so, as a President, he would have no choice but to “dissolve the Dáil entirely.” The ‘Notorious’s long text post further read,
“The people of Ireland deserve the answers they seek. Point blank. This would be my power as President. I know very well. Ireland needs an active President employed wholly by the people of Ireland. It is me. I am the only logical choice. 2025 is upcoming…”
Conor McGregor Lashes Out At “Corrupted Bunch Of Chancers”
Just before his promising post on why he should run for the Irish Presidential election, the ‘Notorious’ slammed the Irish government and accused some of it of being corrupt.

In an X post, McGregor questioned which Irish government official sanctioned the development of a lavish bike shed worth €335,000. He compared the bike shed with bus stops and wrote,
“I’ve seen nicer bus stops! 1. Who charged this extortionate price. 2. Which wally in position approved it. With me as president this type of carry on that we’ve seen countless times, some more serious than others, would be tore apart on the spot! A greedy and corrupted bunch of chancers is all! 🇮🇪 #IDHAVEALLYOURANSWERS,”
McGregor is certainly on fire and believes that he could be a better President for Ireland. Well, he does have some backing for the upcoming 2025 Irish election. But if he runs for the Irish Presidency, does it mean his time inside the UFC octagon is done and dusted? Or will he make his one last dance sometime before signing up for the election? For that, fans will have to wait with immense patience.
