UFC 312 will feature the highly anticipated middleweight title rematch between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland. Their previous bout was a grueling five-round war, leaving both fighters with cuts on their faces in what was nothing short of a pure battle. Fans are carrying that same excitement into the rematch, expecting another intense showdown. Meanwhile, Coach Sayif Saud believes neither Du Plessis nor Strickland will hold back when they face each other in the octagon again at UFC 312.
Fortis MMA head coach Sayif Saud, believes both Du Plessis and Strickland are highly motivated heading into their UFC 312 rematch. This, he says, should result in a high-level championship fight. Saud emphasized that Strickland is no easy opponent, noting that his confidence grows with experience. Since he has already shared the octagon with Du Plessis, that experience could give him an edge. In a recent talk with MMA Junkie Saud said,
“I think we’re going to see what we saw (in the first fight), but a little more aggressive version of that. I think they’re going to add on a bit, they’re going to study the tape and they’re going to come up with some more stuff. But Dricus’ coach is really, really good at game planning. This is going to be a real chess match between these two, and it’s going to be violent.”

He also praised Du Plessis’ relentless style, stating that while his technique may not always look refined, his ability to impose his will on opponents is what makes him dangerous. However, Saud believes Strickland’s durability and five-round conditioning will make it difficult for Du Plessis to dominate him easily.
