Remember how Conor McGregor teased his return multiple times and never really showed up? Well, it seems that after all those false claims, people have lost faith in the charismatic fighter. Thus, even after dropping blockbuster news of his boxing return, there is still confusion regarding the Irishman’s claims. Echoing a similar sentiment, UFC veteran Chael Sonnen has straight-up debunked the claims.
Speaking on his YouTube channel recently, Sonnen delved deep into the possible Logan Paul vs. Conor McGregor matchup. Elaborating on the topic, the ‘Bad Guy’ claimed that there is no possibility of the said bout materializing at all. Moreover, Sonnen also mentioned that the Ambanis in India are not keen to rope in McGregor for tourism.
“Not a single word is true, You’ve got to understand, Conor is not boxing (Logan) Paul. There is not a billionaire in India looking to bring people over and change tourism. That is something exclusively done by a government and that government has done it in one place which is in the Middle East,” said Sonnen.
He concluded his statement by mentioning that the $250 million paycheck, too, was a false claim. Now, there is no guarantee whether the claims are true or not. Having said that, Sonnen is well versed in McGregor’s incredible achievements. He recently revealed McGregor’s exclusivity outside of the octagon.
UFC Insider Details The Conor McGregor Aura
Conor McGregor is like no other fighter. That’s not because he is invincible inside the ring. Infact, despite missing in action for three years now, ‘The Notorious’ has been able to build himself as a brand. And this is where lies the exclusiveness of McGregor.
Speaking about the same on YouTube, Chael Sonnen said, “That might sound very basic to you, but it’s a very rare thing… We’ve had a number of people that have been very successful athletes and when they tried to cross into entertainment, it wasn’t a matter if they weren’t very good, they could not get their start. Their fans did not follow them,”
