Jamahal Hill did not have the ideal run as the light heavyweight champion. Following an unfortunate Achilles injury, Hill had to vacate his title. Coming back to fight for the title he never lost, the hype was quite strong. Squaring off against Alex Pereira in the UFC 300 main event, Hill did deliver as expected. Falling victim to Pereira’s lethal punch, Hill got knocked out in the process.
However, since his loss, ‘Sweetdreams’ has continued to ask for another crack. Obliging his request, Dana White has paired him up with Jiri Prochazka in the UFC 311 co-main event. This bout is touted as the potential title contender eliminator. And ahead of the bout, things are fortunately looking pretty good for Hill.
“I’m in a good spot. The bounce in my legs is coming back very, very well, and I haven’t really thought about my Achilles for a while now. The knee injury has not been as bothersome. I feel like we’re in a really good place to come out and put on a great performance,” said the former UFC light heavyweight champion in an interaction with WOOD TV8.
Now, Alex Pereira will probably be facing Magomed Ankalaev next. Thus, Hill would be eager to know the outcome of the bout. After all, neither Poatan nor Hill shares a good rapport. In fact, Hill chose Ilia Topuria over Alex Pereira for the Fighter of the Year.

He also justified his pick stating Topuria’s dominance against the likes of Volkanovski and Holloway. Thus, with things looking bright for Hill, it remains to be seen how he fares in UFC 311.
