Conor McGregor has kept the MMA world riled up once again. After missing in action for almost 3 years, McGregor has dropped a bombshell. He has teased an exhibition fight against Logan Paul in India. And adding to the intrigue, ‘The Notorious’ stated that the prize money will be a whopping $250 million! Quite expectedly, there have been some wild theories and speculations regarding the rumored match up.
And chiming in with his take is Brendan Schaub. In a recent episode of ‘Extra Thiccc’ podcast on YouTube, Schaub looked stunned to hear the amount of money involved. The former UFC heavyweight contender stated that such a huge amount of money is ‘wild.’
“$250 million is more than Tyson and [Oleksandr] Usyk combined. Just Conor will make more than Usyk and Fury combined and that’s boxing at the highest level. And they have a YouTuber and a guy who’s going under some allegations making more—just one of them is making more than the greatest boxers on the planet,” Schaub said.
While McGregor seems quite confident about the match, there is a slight confusion. Technically, ‘Mystic Mac’ is still under contract with the UFC. Meanwhile, UFC veteran Chael Sonnen has debunked the entire theory of the potential bout.
Chael Sonnen Dismisses Conor McGregor’s Big Claims
Sonnen is not convinced at all about Conor McGregor’s claims. Speaking on his YouTube, Sonnen stated that the Ambani family is not keen on bringing in Conor McGregor for tourism. The ‘Bad Guy’ also stated that the whopping $250 million paycheck was also a false claim.
“Not a single word is true, You’ve got to understand, Conor is not boxing (Logan) Paul. There is not a billionaire in India looking to bring people over and change tourism,” said Sonnen.
