Two title fights and the return of fan favorite Nick Diaz highlighted Saturday’s action from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at UFC 266.
In the people’s main event, Diaz returned to the Octagon after a nearly seven-year layoff — much to the delight of the hardcore fans — to face Robbie Lawler in a five-round middleweight matchup.
Both fighters came out absolutely brawling in the first round.
In the end, Lawler did not want to give the fans what they came to see and promptly defeated Diaz in the 3rd round by TKO.

The bout was a rematch of a fight which took place in April 2004 which Diaz won with a knockout punch in the second round.
Lawler was riding a four-fight losing streak and Diaz had not won a fight since a win over B.J. Penn in 2011.
