In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya squared off against Robert Whittaker for a second time. Adesanya defeated Whittaker via second-round TKO at UFC 243 on Oct. 6, 2019.
Adesanya was clearly hoping for a repeat performance Saturday against Whittaker in the main event at the Toyota Center.
Unlike the first matchup, this bout would go the distance, but would have the same result as Israel Adesanya would be declared the winner.
