Jon Jones was ordered to participate in a drug testing program administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association for his rematch with Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232, and the results are in.
Those tests came back negative for any banned substances, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
Jones submitted Gustafsson in the main event to again become light heavyweight champion and now his fan base can actually celebrate that win now that he is free and clear of any banned substances in his system.
UFC 232 was supposed to go down at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, but was moved last minute to The Forum in Inglewood after the Nevada Athletic Commission refused to license Jones when abnormalities were discovered during analysis of his last 18 months of drug test results.
Jones will still need to be cleared to compete by the Nevada Athletic Commission in order to take on Anthony Smith on March 2nd at UFC 235.
