Recently, Ilia Topuria called out Max Holloway once more, and Holloway did not mince his words while replying. Ilia Topuria finished Alexander Volkanoski in the second round of their fight earlier this year.
Ilia Topuria currently holds the strap at the Featherweight division of the company and has his eyes set on the BMF strap.
Max Holloway answers back to Ilia Topuria
Max Holloway knocked out Justin Gaethje in the final minute of the final round of their fight to claim the BMF belt in the company. Ilia Topuria wants to win the BMF belt in addition to the featherweight title in the UFC. He recently called out Max Holloway on his social media handle while denying the claim that he turned down to fight Volkanovski and calling out Max. Ilia wrote,
I never turned down the rematch with Alex as the UFC has never offered me this fight. As I’ve said many times before, I will be the first to knockout Holloway. Let’s keep this simple: Do you want to fight? If the answer is yes, there’s nothing more to discuss. Bring my belt and your pillow.
To which Max replied,

Holloway made it clear that Topuria has been playing with words for the past days. He even used explicit language to put forward his point. Holloway agreed to put the BMF strap in line to fight Ilia Topuria. The duo of Max and Ilia are two of the best fighters in the Featherweight division of the UFC. They are often considered the best boxers. Ilia is known for using some lethal boxing combinations, and Max is known for his speed in punching.
If the fight between the two ever happens, it will surely be one of the company’s highest-selling pay-per-view events. The UFC has yet to make an official announcement on Ilia Topuria’s next opponent for his first title defense. Topuria might also take on Alexander Volkanovski, as Volk has been a long-reigning champion in the company.
