Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor isn’t really happy with Jake Paul’s recent victory over Mike Perry. The Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, fight saw Paul defeating Perry by knockout in the sixth round on July 20. Shortly after the bout, McGregor made headlines with a surprising X post, criticizing Paul for facing older opponents and mocking the performance of the bare-knuckle fighter.
In the post-fight ring interview, the 26-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer called out UFC champ Alex Pereira and the legendary boxer Mike Tyson for his next fight. However, the two-division champ Conor McGregor deemed calling out Tyson again inappropriate. On X, ‘The Notorious’ wrote:
“Jake Paul is the biggest pi**bag I have ever seen in my life. 40-pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still shi**ing himself in there. Nakisa you should take him to Vegas oh that’s right you could never, the athletic commission testing, real testing, real fighting. Bi*ch a**es. You could never. And then calling out 60-year-old Mike Tyson fresh off an in flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of bich pis. Most valuable pi*bag.”
This isn’t the first time WWE star Logan Paul’s younger sibling received criticism for calling out ‘Iron Mike.’ Many have previously mocked Paul for targeting a much older opponent. However, Paul is going to face Tyson on November 15. In May, the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion had to pull out of their initial July 20th bout due to a flare-up of a stomach ulcer, which forced him to reduce his training.
Did Conor McGregor fire Mike Perry from BKFC Following Loss to Jake Paul?
The former two-division champ also criticized bare-knuckle fighter Perry for his performance. Disappointed by Perry’s loss to Paul, he claimed that the ‘Platinum’ had been fired. On X, he wrote,
“Hey, Mike you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired. @bareknucklefc.”

McGregor acquired part ownership in the BKFC promotion earlier this year. Moreover, in the post-fight conference, Mike Perry responded to the Irishman, saying, “Me and him are both owners of BKFC, so he can’t fire me.” The 36-year-old’s tweets might be out of frustration, but he hasn’t posted any updates after mocking both fighters.
Well, Jake Paul and Conor McGregor unleashing a word war against isn’t a new thing. Now, after the YouTuber-turned-boxer came out victorious against Mike, will ‘The Notorious’ himself step up to stop ‘The Problem Child.’ If he does, it’s going to be a delight for the boxing fans.
