Sean Strickland and Belal Muhammad’s feud is heating up again. This time, Belal’s coming in hot. Recently, Muhammad stirred the pot with some bold claims about Strickland, and let’s just say he’s not holding back.
Belal Muhammad didn’t just dip his toes into the world of trash talk—he dove in headfirst. He was interviewed by Submission Radio, and he confirmed that he was ready to move up to middleweight just to throw down with Sean Strickland.
“O man, I would love to fight Sean. It doesn’t even have to be the belt on the line. I would fight him just to fight him at 185… When I think of tough fights, Sean is not one of them,” said Muhammad.
Muhammad’s confidence is practically overflowing. He is confident he will manhandle Strickland and win the victory. He put forth some analysis of his previous fights and how he tried to outdo other fighters with his cardio. But ‘Remember The Name’ has cardio for days.
This isn’t the first time Belal Muhammad has targeted a high-profile opponent, but it might be one of the most colorful. He’s always been known for his fighting skills and his ability to trash-talk with the best of them. Now, he’s mixing both, making it clear that he’s not just looking for a fight; he’s looking for a statement victory.

Muhammad’s frustration with Strickland started years ago. It all began when Strickland waded into the sensitive topic of Palestine, which hits close to home for Muhammad, who is of Palestinian descent. Strickland’s comments, dismissive and inflammatory, were enough to set Muhammad off.
“Honestly, I had no care about him at all until I posted one thing about Palestine and it was literally like three years ago. Same thing: They were getting bombed and he just commented on there when it had nothing to do with him because he likes to just put his nose into stuff and get attention. And he said something like, ‘They need to just give up. They’re going to end up losing anyway, they just need to bend the knee.’ It was the stupidest statement ever,” said Muhammad via MONEY LOYALTY LEGACY podcast.
Belal Muhammad also pointed out Strickland’s hypocrisy. He noted ‘Tarzan’s’ emotional reaction on Theo Von’s podcast when discussing family. Strickland had been upset about people bringing up his family, which Muhammad found ironic given his previous comments about kids dying.
In the end, Muhammad’s beef with Strickland goes beyond the cage. It’s about respect and principle. And while Strickland might have his own take on the situation, Muhammad’s message is clear: there’s more to this rivalry than just a potential fight.
