The UFC 300 recently got over, and it seems the MMA world is still hungover from the main from it. It was the most memorable card in recent memory of UFC history. One of the best fights on the card was Renato Moicano taking on Jalin Turner in the three-round matchup.
Jalin Turner is a monster striker, but Moicano nullified his striking with his grappling. Moicano put up a masterclass, but as it stands out, there was neither fighter that Moicano was impressed by.
Moicano is a world-class grappler but might still want to work on his striking to beat some of the best fighters in the division.
Renato Moicano on Max Holloway
The BMF bout between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway was a special affair, even though the UFC 300 had other great fights. Holloway knocked out Justin Gaethje in the final seconds of the final round in the BMF bout. Moicano, like everyone else, was pleased by Max’s showing in the Lightweight division. On a plausible bout in the future, Moicano said,
Hell F**king no brother. I’m good. Max Holloway would beat me up.
Renato made it clear that he has no intentions of taking on Max Holloway inside the UFC octagon in the near future. Moicano, as good a grappler as he is, has room for improvement in his striking game. Max Holloway is an elite striker who can take on and beat any major hitter in the company. Holloway is in line for a title shot next in his career.
