UFC 311 initially faced challenges with its venue due to the LA fires. Now, a new issue has arisen as Arman Tsarukyan has pulled out of the fight due to back pain. Despite this setback, UFC President Dana White has confirmed that Islam Makhachev will still compete at the event, with Renato Moicano stepping in as the replacement fighter.
“Money” Moicano, who was originally set to face Beneil Dariush on the same card, will now challenge Makhachev for the lightweight title. This unexpected and rapid shift in the fight card has left fans buzzing. In a jaw-dropping video posted on YouTube, Dana White confirmed the news and said:
“Around 1am we have received a call from Arman Tsarukyan who informed us that he was experiencing significant back pain due to the injury. He feels like he’s not healthy enough to compete. So he’s out of the fight. Stepping in to face Islam Makhachev for the title will be Renato Moicano.”
In the video, Dana White also revealed that Renato Moicano is eager to take the fight. Meanwhile, during a call with White, Islam Makhachev stated that he doesn’t care who his opponent is. This development has undoubtedly added even more excitement to the event.
