Kamaru Usman gave his take on Alex Pereira
Former world Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has been enjoying his time off the octagon. He recently started his own podcast. Kamaru Usman, in a conversation with Henry Cejudo, talked about how Alex Pereira is a dangerous opponent to anyone he faces inside the octagon. It seems like Poatan has impressed Kamaru Usman mainly due to his vicious left hook. Usman said,
Let him fight in rio, in Brazil as far as moving up is. I think everybody in that Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight division are in trouble when they fight a guy like Alex Pereira.
Kamaru Usman clarified that anyone in the most significant three divisions will have trouble dealing with that guy. Pereira’s left hook is a weapon his opponents need to be wary of. Usman made it clear that Alex Pereira can contend for the title in the three most significant divisions in the UFC. The man will have no trouble dealing with the size of his Heavyweight counterparts. Pereira has already acquired UFC gold in the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.
Alex Pereira knocked out Jamahal Hill in the first round of the main event at the UFC 300. In the post-fight interview, he made it clear that he wanted to move up to the heavyweight division and try his luck with the big boys in the division. It’ll be interesting to see if Pereira and the UFC will agree to move up to the Light heavyweight division and beat up Jon Jones.
