This could’ve ended so badly.
Cubs fans needed something to cheer about during a tough start to the season. Javier Báez provided that when he hit a grand slam in the 16-4 stomping of the New York Mets on a chilly Wednesday night at Wrigley Field.
Naturally, every fan in the area wanted to catch that ball, included a young Cubs fan, who damn near risked his life for it.
The kid fell down the bleachers and slid on the tarp down to the concrete where he somehow escaped injury.
Luckily, he was okay and only concerned with getting the ball.
