![Yankees Skipper Takes A Subtle Jibe At The Dodgers For Their Post-World Series Talk](https://www.totalprosports.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Aaron-Boone-1024x563.jpg)
The New York Yankees had a strong run to the World Series in 2024, but the Dodgers proved to be better. Despite a few blunders that cost the team, the Yanks put up a good fight. The Dodgers won in style, but many players trolled the Yanks for their mistakes after the World Series.
It reached the point where fans started creating memes of the Bronx Bombers. After winning the World Series, many called out the Dodgers for their unprofessional behavior. MLB insider Buster Olney slammed the Dodgers’ Joe Kelly and Chris Taylor for their comments. Olney said the Yanks would not have responded in such a manner if they won the World Series.
Recently, Yankees skipper Aaron Boone talked about the Dodgers’ post-season thrash talk. When asked if the players took any of the Dodgers’ comments personally, Boone replied, “Probably a little bit.” He further went on to say the Yanks would handle a victory with more class.
“The reality is we didn’t play our best in the series, and they won, so they had that right to say whatever. Hopefully, we’re in that position next year and handle things with a little more class,” Boone said.
Boone also mentioned that he wouldn’t sum things up with a few people sounding off. “But the reality is it’s a great team, it’s a great organization with a lot of great people that I happen to know and respect, too. So a few people sounding off isn’t necessarily how I would want to draw it up,” Boone continued via Dodgers Nation.

“I’m not going to put anything past a healthy DJ LeMahieu and his ability to hit. There’s always going to be the naysayers out there, but really, this is in and around a guy who is a great hitter who’s had some tough, nagging, bad injuries that have cut into that greatness. So there’s no telling what he may be able to do if he’s healthy,” Boone said.
LeMahieu is expected to play in 2025, and the Yankees are ready to face opponents. The Bronx Bombers have a better roster and a strong offense to help them win. MLB rumors continue to swirl around players like Xander Bogaerts as spring training approaches.
