The New York Yankees are doing their best to make changes this offseason. Hal Steinbrenner met with Juan Soto, hoping to offer him a long-term contract. While Soto is yet to be signed, the franchise has retained center fielder Trent Grisham to avoid arbitration.
According to ESPN reporter Jorge Castillo, the Yanks agreed to a one-year $5 million deal with Grisham. The 28-year-old will also be eligible for $250,000 in bonuses tied to plate appearances. The Bronx Bombers consider this a good move, but not all fans are happy about it as they took to social media to express their disappointment.

Yankees Show Interest In Walker Buehler
The Yankees have been linked to quite a number of players this offseason. Juan Soto is their biggest trade target, but they are also rumored to be in pursuit of Walker Buehler. The Yankees must strengthen their starting rotation, especially with Marcus Stroman and Nestor Cortes Jr’s subpar performance.
Adding Buehler can improve their starting rotation, provided he stays healthy. Buehler has entered the free-agent market since the Dodgers have not extended him a qualifying offer.
Buehler to the Yankees can be an interesting trade. Several teams have already contacted the star pitcher, including the Oakland Athletics. However, he turned down their offer due to their stadium crisis.
