Ted Cruz had to have his emotions in check when he decided to step foot in Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
The Houston Astros completed a sweep of the New York Yankees to punch a ticket to the World Series on Sunday. Before that happened, the senator from Texas made his way through the stadium and the fan base made sure to give him a piece of their mind.
A picture shared on Twitter showed Cruz’s wave to spectators at Yankee Stadium being greeted with multiple fans raising their middle fingers in return.
A video also shows some derogatory things being said to him. Someone even brought up Donald Trump calling his wife ugly.

As we saw last night, the Astros would walk away with the last laugh as they swept the Yankees 4-0 in the ALCS. It was quite fitting that the last at-bat came at the hands of Aaron Judge who might not be on the roster next season.
