The New York Yankees are one of those active teams in pursuit of free agents this off-season. Their primary target is Juan Soto, but they are also linked to several other stars, including Cody Bellinger, Alex Bregman, and Walker Buehler, to name a few.
Blake Snell was also on the list, but the Los Angeles Dodgers got to them first. It turns out that the Yankees had a Zoom call with Snell just hours before he signed with the rival. MLB insider Jon Heyman posted information about Snell having a call with the team. Fans immediately took to social media as they lashed out at the franchise after their missed opportunity.

Yankees Expected To Sign Other Sluggers If They Miss Out On Juan Soto
The Yankees are still a huge favorite to sign Soto, but there is always a slight chance for the New York Mets to stay ahead. If the Yanks failed to sign Soto, they are expected to turn towards other top hitters in the free-agent market.
The Yanks have a couple of options to make their pick, and they must act fast if the Soto deal does not pan out well. The Bronx Bombers are already keeping an eye on Alex Bregman. With Cody Bellinger on the trade block, they could easily land Bregman and Bellinger.
Moreover, they will also have a shot at the World Series Champion, Teoscar Hernandez. Soto’s price is pretty high, even for the Yankees. Instead, they could opt for some of the other star sluggers. It’s just a matter of time before Soto finds a team.
