The New York Yankees have formed a team that could make them World Series contenders for the second straight time. The Yanks added several new stars this offseason to bolster their lineup. Yet, they have stayed away from bringing back a few players who have hit free agency.
Gleyber Torres’ 2024 season was not perfect, but his postseason performance was pretty decent. Torres helped his team in crucial games, but several fans had mixed reactions to the slugger. Despite Torres hitting the free agent market, the Yankees have stayed away from bringing him back.
The two-time All-Star might have had his last season with the Bronx Bombers. Torres has garnered interest from a few teams, but Yankees fans are happy that the team has shown no interest in bringing him back.

Yankees Could Part Ways With Gleyber Torres As Angels Show Interest
The Yankees could part ways with Torres as the Los Angeles Angels have shown interest in the star slugger. The Yanks have no reason to have Torres on the team, especially after signing more free agents. The Bronx Bombers could change things up and use another second baseman.
Torres’ role has become redundant, and he could be a better fit for the Angels. He is predicted to sign a two-year $25 million deal with the Angels. The Angels need offensive power, and Torres could be a great fit.
Many predict that Torres would perform well in Los Angeles alongside Mike Trout and other stars. He would have a more prominent role and boost the team’s lineup. The Yankees are also rumored to sign another free agent this winter.
