Yankees fans are a ahrsh bunch.
The Yankees won Game 5 on Friday night to push the series to a 6th game, but there was a moment during the game that went extremely viral. Just 24 hours after a story broke on a Yankees fan being ejected from the game for making fun of Zack Greinke’s mental health and his mother, even more supporters joined in to heckle another player on the Astros.
During the Game, fans could be heard screaming “f*** Altuve” so loud it came through on the broadcast.
If you’re wondering why, we have no clue as well. Altuve hasn’t done anything but be a pest by getting on base a lot. Fans are likely just getting at him because he is good at his job.
Through 10 games, he’s batting .333 with four home runs and six RBIs.
The series now shifts back to Houston on Saturday night and Sunday for Game 7 if needed.
