The New York Yankees have acquired Devin Williams from the Milwaukee Brewers in a blockbuster trade. The Brewers will receive Nestor Cortes Jr. and Caleb Durbin for the All-Star closer. Durbin was acquired from the minor leagues and was one of those promising candidates for the Yanks.
The Bronx Bombers were keen on adding a closer along with Luke Weaver. Devin Williams seemed to be the perfect fit for the team. However, many fans believe trading Durbin for Williams was not a good deal. On the other hand, they were open to sending Nestor Cortes Jr. to the Brewers.

Devin Williams’ Girlfriend Maggie Badock Shares Message On Instagram After His Trade To The Yankees
Devin Williams’ girlfriend, Maggie Badock, took to her Instagram account and shared a status of her boyfriend’s trade. Badock said she was grateful for their time together in Milwaukee and that it was bittersweet to say bye to the Brewers family.
“Nyc dreams coming true, but bitter sweet to say bye to the brewers after many years with the org! So grateful for the time we’ve had in MKE, so much love forever,” Badock wrote.
Badock’s New York dreams are coming true, as Devin Williams will be in pinstripes for the 2025 season. Williams has a strong 1.83 career ERA and 375 strikeouts in 235.2 innings pitched. The pitcher holds a decent 27-10 record. The Yankees are also predicted to sign Orioles star Anthony Santander.
