This is pretty sad.
Unlike other fan bases across the league, you won’t see Yankees fans waving around rally towels during playoff games, but make no mistake about it, the fans can get pretty rowdy when there’s some action going on.
Unfortunately in Game 3, not enough action was happening, so Yankee stadium was pretty quiet as Astros ace Gerrit Cole went through their lineup and didn’t allow a run through seven innings.
One Yankees fan wasn’t liking that very much, so he stood up in his section and asked for fans to stand up and make some noise because it was the ALCS and the players would feed off of it.
He basically got ignored.
“Everybody, we gotta get up,” a man was recorded telling his nearby peers during Game 3 of the ALCS. “We’re playing [Houston ace Gerrit] Cole. This is the game right here. Get. up. Let’s go. I don’t understand. I don’t understand why you buy all these tickets if you don’t want to win the game. I don’t understand. Couldn’t be me. Wouldn’t be me. Shall not be me. I will not sit with two outs in the American League Championship Series.”
