While his performance was not up to the mark, the veteran is expected to attract strong interest from multiple teams. The Padres can also opt for upcoming players while trading Bogaerts and Cronenworth.
Xander Bogaerts and Cronenworth alone will reduce a significant amount for the team. San Diego is trying to trade multiple players to make things right. Players and fans are already unhappy with their offseason. Trading more players will not make the team a competitive opponent in the offseason.
