Willson Contreras is a strong man.
The Chicago Cubs starting catcher took a 98 mph fastball from Luis Garcia right to the head. The very sound of it made the fans and even the announcers squirm and fear the worst.
“Wilson Contreras just took one to the dome at 98 MPH,” one fan tweeted. “Shouldn’t there be immediate concussion protocol and removal from the game, MLB?”
Despite the scary hit to the head, Contreras popped right back up and stayed in the game.
The Cubs entered play Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals losers of 12 of their last 13 games.
