Justin Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton, is one of the top supermodels ever to walk the ramp. They met in 2012 and tied the knot in 2017. Over the years, Verlander and Upton have had great careers in their respective fields.
However, achieving that success was not easy. When she began her modeling journey, Upton had to deal with several challenges. One unforgettable moment was with Guess Co-Founder Paul Marciano.
The 32-year-old had experienced sexual misconduct when Marciano harassed her both physically and verbally. Several models undergo such situations every day in their careers. Kate Upton was strong in bringing this instance to light after the incident. The model stated that the bad memory created a huge emotional impact on her life.
Kate Upton further said that Marciano called her to his hotel room, and she was fired from a job after refusing to go.
“It had a huge emotional impact after, because it made me question what I was doing, how I put myself out there to be treated in this way,” Upton said via ABC13.com.

Marciano later denied that he behaved inappropriately towards Upton. However, the model said that she never needed his validation.
“I don’t really need his validation for what happened, so I’m not looking for him to come out forward and tell the truth,” Upton continued.
Justin Verlander Extended His Support To Kate Upton
Justin Verlander has always supported his wife and continues to do so to this day. During the time of such allegations, Verlander extended his support to his wife. The pitcher took to X, stating that he was proud of her.
“Couldn’t be more proud of Kate Upton. I know this difficult decision to tell her story is to empower others in similar situations, and also to encourage those who witness this behavior to speak out to create change. That is what the #MeToo movement is all about!” Verlander wrote.
