Bryce Harper is now a member of the Philadelphia Phillies after signing a massive 13-year, $330-million deal. But apparently he isn’t ready to put his Washington Nationals days completely behind him.
Over the weekend, a couple of Twitter users noticed something strange about Harper’s gear; that is was from his days with the Nats.
Specifically, it was discovered that Harper was still using his Nats’ Under Armour and belt. His old number 34 was still visible on his belt, while the 4 was clearly scratched off his Under Armour, leaving just the no. 3 behind — which is the number he’s currently wearing with his new club.
I totally understand that sometimes athletes can become attached to certain pieces of equipment, but I wouldn’t imagine belts and Under Armour being among them. After all, when’s the last time you ever heard someone say they had to work in a new belt?
Hey, Under Armour! Think you can help Bryce update his wardrobe?
