Unlike in years past, athletes are not afraid to speak about their political affiliation, and that was evident this week when a few Major League Baseball players showed their support for Donald Trump.
During the game between the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays — shortstop for the Rays, Taylor Walls showed his political affiliation and quite possibly affiliation with many of his teammates when he hit a double in the top of the fifth inning.
Shortly after getting to second base, Walls pumped his fist in the air toward his teammates in the dugout and could be seen mouthing the words “Fight, fight,” which was the same thing Donald Trump did after a failed assassination attempt.
This was not the only instance of support for Trump.
In the game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves, Cardinals outfielder and first baseman Alec Burleson had just hit a solo home run when cameras panned over to his teammates in the dugout.
They could be seen putting the Donald Trump fist in the air in celebration.

Whether or not it was intentional by his teammates, the gesture looked eerily similar to the one former United States president Donald Trump made following his assassination attempt on July 13th as the Secret Service quickly tried to get him off stage.
If not for a slight move to his head to look at a board for his rally, Donald Trump would likely be gone from this Earth. He was simply shot in the right ear by a lone gunman at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In the Rays and Yankees game, Tampa Bay would come out victorious with a 6-4 victory as they try to keep pace in the American League East, per Google.

Like the Rays, the St. Louis Cardinals also won on the road, defeating the Braves 6-2.
Former MLB All-Star Zach Cozart Expresses Support For Donald Trump
Former All-Star shortstop Zach Cozart, who played for the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Angels, made his thoughts clear when he expressed support for former President Trump before he made his speech at the Republican National Convention.
Cozart posted a photo of himself rocking a gray hat on the golf course with the word “Trump” on it.
Trump’s name was stitched upside down with the American flag.
“I dunno bout yall, but I can’t wait to vote for Trump… I’ve honestly never seen the party as united as now… they tried to kill our President … least we can do is VOTE!!” he wrote.
