Crazed Dodgers fans turned Los Angeles into a cauldron of vandalism and looting after the MLB team won the World Series on Wednesday.
The Dodgers are World Champions again following a 4-1 series win over the New York Yankees. While the festive atmosphere around the city is understandable, some residents engaged in shocking actions while celebrating the win.
The Los Angeles Police Department shared videos of some of the looting going on around the city, as well as a bus being set on fire and other fans clashing with cops.
A particular clip of looters making off with merchandise from a boarded-up Nike store a few miles away from Dodger Stadium has also gone viral online. Police disclosed having made arrests.

Los Angeles Dodgers Fans Pelted Police And Set Fireworks Off In A Bus
According to the New York Post, the authorities noted that “several businesses” were looted while other properties were “vandalized” during the raucous celebrations across Los Angeles.
Per the LAPD, a “hostile crowd of 200-300 people set an MTA bus on fire in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
Fire personnel responded to the blaze, which they monitored while protecting nearby buildings from being burnt, too.
Footage shows fireworks being set off inside the bust before it caught on fire while fans screamed, “Let’s go, Dodgers!”
The Los Angeles Fire Department claimed to be “in a normal operating mode, handling routine emergencies citywide” and has asked the public to reach out to the LAPS with any information on “unlawful gatherings.”
Cops who tried to disperse a crowd were also attacked with rocks, bottles, and fireworks while the looting took place.
Such behavior from a city that just won a World Series is hard to understand. Some cities just celebrate differently.
