A Cincinnati Reds fan was charged with multiple crimes when he ran out on the field while the team was playing the Cleveland Guardians, who were at bat in the ninth inning.
The Great American Ball Park crowd cheered him on as 19-year-old William Hendon ran onto the field.
Hendon, wearing his Johnny Bench jersey, ran towards Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tyler Freeman for a high-five. He was denied, but Hendon did not let that deter him, so he ran off with two cops on his tail.
Hendon decided to seize the moment further as he stopped and executed the perfect backflip, and fans cheered even louder. A cop was right behind him and even touched him mid-air as he held out his taser.
His backflip caused the hat on the cop’s head to be knocked off as he took off after the backflip. He did not get far as the cop tased and subdued him.
When it comes to using a taser on the fan, which hadn’t been seen before, Cincinnati police Lt. John Cunningham said, “As with any instance of use of force, this incident will be investigated in accordance with CPD’s policies and procedures.”

Videos on social media went viral, and his 15 minutes weren’t quite over as he showed up in court this week.
“Everybody thinks you landed that backflip,” Municipal Court Judge William Mallory said during Hendon’s arraignment on Wednesday.
“I’m pretty sure I did,” said Hendon, who was still dressed in the Cincinnati Reds jersey from the game.
