An Arizona woman is accusing a former MLB pitcher of sexual assault, according to a report from USA Today.
The publication cites court filings made last December alleging Trevor Bauer held a steak knife to said woman’s throat, choked her until she was unconscious, and got her pregnant in late 2020.
The filings are said to have been amended recently.
Bauer had been accused of similar acts by three women prior to this recent revelation and has since claimed that the allegations are untrue.
The 2020 NL CY Young Award winner, who now plays for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in Japan, has counter-sued his accuser, who he says fabricated her pregnancy.
According to the pitcher’s attorneys, Bauer had one consensual sexual encounter with the woman in December 2020 and said that the condom broke during intercourse. She then claimed to be pregnant and demanded a sum of $1.6 million to terminate the pregnancy.

Bauer’s lawyers also claim that the player made an audio recording of her demands.
Police in Scottsdale, Arizona, revealed a report of sexual assault naming Bauer was filed on December 20, 2020. However, no charges were filed.
The 32-year-old was suspended by the MLB for two years in 2022, having already missed 111 games due to being placed on administrative leave by the MLB the previous year following accusations of sexual assault by another woman. He was not charged with a crime back then either.
Bauer was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers before signing a one-year deal worth $4 million with the aforementioned Japanese outfit.
