The fallout from The Athletic’s report that the Houston Astros used cameras to steal signs and relayed what pitches were coming to their batters was investigated by Major League Baseball and they have since levied out their punishments.
The Astros, Red Sox, and Mets have all fired or parted ways with their managers, but it seems like there even more to the cheating than reported.
A private Twitter account that claims to be Carlos Beltran’s niece tweeted yesterday that Beltran would be stepping down and then it actually happened on Thursday.
That same account went on to state that Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman had buzzers underneath their jerseys to assist their cheating efforts.
The Beltran family would soon release a statement to ESPN’s Marly Rivera that the account is unrelated to the family.

Seemed to be over, but then Trevor Bauer, currently with the Cincinnati Reds, said he heard the same thing from a few different parties.

It looks like the Astros brought their cheating ways into 2019 as well.
