The sports landscape has pretty much grinded to a halt as millions deal with the reality of the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the entire globe.
March Madness is done. The NBA is suspended, and MLB called off spring training and likely delayed the start of the actual season for months.
That led Trevor Bauer to put together a sandlot-style pickup game for MLB players in Arizona. On Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds pitcher got his fellow MLB players together for the pickup game and they couldn’t let the entire thing happen without taking shots as the Houston Astros.
This break from the start of the baseball season bodes well for the sanity of the Astros players and their fans.
