Baseball brawls normally don’t escalate to very much, but it certainly did on Saturday night.
Star infielders Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson were ejected in the sixth inning of Saturday’s game between the Cleveland Guardians and Chicago White Sox after both players started throwing punches.
It all began when Ramirez slid into second base through the legs of Anderson in front of second base umpire Malachi Moore. Anderson looked down at Ramirez who was complaining about something during the play.
They both started arguing and eventually punches were exchanged as teammates and coaches arrived on the scene, and Ramirez knocked Anderson to the ground with a right hand.
Anderson, who dropped his glove and put up his hands in a fighting position, threw the first punch but it did not work out for him in the end. As the benches were already clearing, Ramirez then caught Anderson with a nasty right hook, sending him to ground.
Footage showed that the punch did some damage as Anderson could barely move around.

Ramirez and Anderson were ejected, but they weren’t the only ones.
Cleveland manager Terry Francona, third base coach Mike Sarbaugh and closer Emmanuel Clase, and Chicago manager Pedro Grifol were ejected for their actions.
You can expect many fines and suspensions over this massive brawl.
