It was absolute chaos in Cleveland as Tim Anderson and Jose Ramirez wanted to do more than just play baseball.
In the sixth inning of Saturday night’s game between the Guardians and Chicago White Sox, Jose Ramirez hit a ball down the right-field line for an RBI double. Ramirez slid into second base, where he beat the throw as White Sox infielder Tim Anderson applied the tag.
Ramirez did not like how Anderson tagged him over the head, and the two began exchanging words.
Ramirez took it to the next level by pointing at him aggressively, which led to Anderson and Ramirez squaring up for a fight.
Both threw punches but Ramirez delivered a knockout blow to Anderson when he caught him on the chin.
