Los Angeles Dodgers fans are still not happy as the fallout continues from Major League Baseball’s closing their investigation and punishing the Houston Astros for their part in a wide ranging sign-stealing scheme that has seen 3 managers and one GM lose their job.
The 2017 NL-pennant winning Dodgers finished runner up to the Astros that year as well as finished the same way the following year to the Boston Red Sox who are also under investigation for stealing signs.
The Los Angeles Times checked in with a group of Dodgers fans called the Pantone 294 and the co-owner, Desiree Garcia, said that the group is thinking about chartering a fleet of buses and sending thousands of Dodger fans to Anaheim during MLB Opening Weekend when the Astros begin their 2020 season against the Angels just to boo them.
“It would be a really cool idea to do,” Garcia told the Times. “As Dodger fans, we definitely feel like we’ve been cheated out of something. We don’t know if we’re willing to take that business risk and bring a bunch of angry people to Angel Stadium.”
The Dodgers are not playing the Astros or the Boston Red Sox in 2020.
