The Yanks have bolstered their offense and pursued strong pitchers for their starting rotation. The bullpen is intact and ready to make another playoff run.
GM Brian Cashman mentioned that Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s flexibility will help them explore other options. The Yanks are open to moving Chisholm as a replacement for Torres. That said, they will still need to fill a spot at third base. Cashman is ready to promote internal players. Oswaldo Cabrera and D.J. LeMahieu could take on third base, but they still have a strong candidate to pursue.
The Yankees were believed to be in pursuit of Alex Bregman, but he does not seem to fit the bill. The Bronx Bombers have another option, and that is Nolan Arenado. The Cardinals are ready to trade Arenado, and the Yanks are prepared to part ways with Marcus Stroman.
If they work things out, the Yanks will secure the ultimate trade deal before opening day. Arenado will fit perfectly at third base, making it easy on the pocket. On the other hand, Stroman might be a strong fit for the Cardinals.
Yankees Reunite With Tim Hill
The Bronx Bombers have re-signed Tim Hill, offering him a one-year deal worth $2.5 million. Hill will also have a $3 million club option after the 2025 season, along with a $350k buyout option. Despite his rough patch with the White Sox, Hill came out strong for the Yanks, posting a 2.05 ERA in the second half of the season.

The Yanks have a powerful bullpen after acquiring Devin Williams and Mark Leiter Jr. Luke Weaver, Jake Cousins, and Ian Hamilton will play a crucial role in the lineup. The starting rotation is packed with All-Star pitchers, while the offense is loaded with additional sluggers like Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt.
The ideal trade the Yankees must consider is bringing Arenado to fill their loopholes. Once Arenado comes to the Bronx, the Yanks might have the perfect replacement. Another AL East rival is in the mix for Arenado as the Cardinals hope to trade him before spring training.
