Jordan Beck had something to get off his chest after a huge on Sunday night against Georgia Tech. Tennessee was down 4-3 heading into the ninth inning in its regional final before scoring six runs to win the game.
Beck’s hit the game-tying RBI double and as he made his way around the bases, he flipped quite a few people off.
The Vols would go on to score six in the final frame to win 9-6, clinching their spot in the Super Regionals, but after the game the conversation centered around what Beck did as he rumbled into second on that pivotal double.
“I was super excited,” Beck told reporters after the game. “I had a little bit of a blackout moment. I was just happy I hit a flush barrel. I didn’t know if it was getting over the guy’s head or not.”
Tennessee will take on Notre Dame in Knoxville next weekend in a best-of-3 series with a spot in the College World Series on the line.
