A suspect that has been embroiled in the shooting of David Ortiz has apparently been part of another incident in Pennsylvania that involved the shooting of a man in his back.
Luis Rivas-Clase, who is also known as “The Surgeon,” is charged with conspiracy to commit homicide in the shooting of a man on April 22, 2018, NBC10 Philadelphia reported.
“Rivas-Clase allegedly threatened to kill the victim a few days prior to the incident. Police also said Rivas-Clase conspired with another suspect to shoot the man.
The Berks County Sheriff’s Department told NBC10 they believe Rivas-Clase is one of the four suspects who are wanted in connection to the shooting of former Red Sox superstar Ortiz at a bar in Santo Domingo Sunday night.
Witnesses said the shooting was carried out by two men on a motorcycle, assisted by two other groups of people in cars.”
The likelihood that Rivas shows his face in Pennsylvania or any city in America right now is highly unlikely.
“Since this individual would be subject to charges in the Dominican Republic, the chance of us getting him back is frankly far-fetched,” he told The Associated Press.
Ortiz continues to get better after his shooting that required a 6-hour surgery and a flight to Boston for another surgery.
