As if hitting off of Atlanta Braves superstar pitcher Spencer Strider wasn’t difficult enough to begin with….opposing batters will now have to solve the latest addition to his repertoire.
MLB analyst Rob Friedman, known by his social media name “Pitching Ninja”, analyzed a video of the 25-year-old Strider throwing his usual fastball as well as a new curveball with absolutely nasty movement:
Needless to say, the viral video of Strider’s filthy pitch had fans on social media losing their minds.

After a stellar rookie year for Atlanta in 2022, Strider broke out and pieced together a Cy Young-caliber season in 2023. He led the majors in both strikeout (281) and wins (20), losing just five decisions in 32 starts.
Strider’s efforts helped Atlanta to a sixth straight NL East division crown, as well as a second straight season of 100-plus wins. However, the Braves were eliminated by the rival Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS for the second consecutive year.
The Braves once again open the year as one of the primary favorites to win it all, but the Los Angeles Dodgers got even more dangerous with the marquee offseason additions of Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Manuel Margot and Teoscar Hernández.
So the Braves’ latest push to form a dynasty promises to be more difficult than ever in 2024. Nonetheless, they’ll be in good hands to seriously challenge the Dodgers with an elite pitching staff headlined by Strider and that ridiculous new curveball.
