Just when the Houston Astros thought their controversy was over after getting punished by Major League Baseball, another accusation surfaced on Thursday.
Shortly after the news dropped of Carlos Beltran stepping down as manager of the New York Mets, an accusation of the Astros using buzzers underneath their jerseys surfaced that accused the team of sending signals to players on what pitches were coming.
Soon after, a photo surfaced of Astros outfielder Josh Reddick on what appeared to be a buzzer after a game.
Reddick’s wife, Jett, came to his defense on Twitter, calling everybody “idiots” who think it’s anything else.
One would think if he knew he was wearing something illegal, he wouldn’t remove his jersey and show what’s underneath to keep accusations from surfacing. Major League Baseball has already came out and dispelled all the rumors, stating that found nothing connected to the team in regards to using buzzers.
