Ingrid Andress has explained her shocking rendition of the national anthem on Monday night.
The country music star sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the Home Run Derby and left everyone wondering what the hell was happening, though some suspected she must have had too much to drink.
Turns out that was the case, as Andress has since admitted that she was drunk and will be checking herself into rehab as she’s realized she needs help.
“I’m not gonna bulls*** y’all, I was drunk last night,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night.”
The 32-year-old also extended an apology to MLB fans, sports fans, and the nation.
“I’ll let y’all know how rehab is. I hear it’s super fun,” she joked.

Ingrid Andress Drew An Unsurprising Comparison
Ingrid Andress’ performance drew comparisons to Fergie’s comical rendition of the anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
As you can see in the clip above, players were trying to stop themselves from laughing. They did a pretty good job of it, admittedly.
The nation needed answers after what could be described as a curious performance, and it’s great that the singer has been up-front about what happened while stating her intention to get help.
