Fans being back in the stadium wasn’t going to happen without quite a few hiccups happening, and Yankees fans made sure they were one of the fan bases to behave badly.
During the boo-filled 8-2 loss to Tampa Bay at home for a rough start to a five-game home stand, the game would come to a halt for several minutes in the 8th inning when several fans among the angry announced crowd of 10,202 threw baseballs and other objects onto the field.

The Yankees committed three errors in the game, two of them leading to three unearned runs in the Rays’ four-run fifth inning, which extended Tampa Bay’s lead to 6-0.
The loss on Friday dropped the team to 5-8 on the season.
