The baseball world was thrown for a loop earlier this week when a report surfaced stating the Houston Astros were possibly looking into dealing all-star shortshop Carlos Correa in a move that would be cost-cutting.
Andy Martino of SNY added more fuel to the rumors when he revealed that the New York Mets have had discussions with Houston for the All-Star.
The 25-year-old former AL Rookie of the year would certainly give a boost to the lineup for Mets. During his injury-plagued 2019 season, he hit .279 with 21 homers, 59 RBI and a .926 OPS.
